Kerasotes Reserves Vista
2009 ShoWesters of the Year, Kerasotes Theatres was founded in 1909 and today has 94 locations and 933 screens, located throughout the Midwest and upper Midwestern regions of the United States.
1st April 2009
USA
Working in conjunction with our US business partners Cinedigm Digital Cinema Corp., Vista Cinema Software will be installed in two new Kerasotes sites located in St. Louis Park, Minnesota and in Chicago, Illinois. With a total of 30 screens between them, the two new sites are unique to Kerasotes. These cinemas will feature reserved seating and will offer movie-goers a Premium Class cinema experience complete with a restaurant and bar.
The Premium Class area, featured in the new cinemas provides cinema-goers with a luxurious environment to enjoy a quiet drink and fine dining experience before their movie. Ushers will escort patrons to their plush reclining seats and ensure that they are pampered from the moment they walk into the Premium Class area. Reserved seating is steadily being introduced to US cinema circuits and patrons will find this an advantage when purchasing tickets to popular blockbusters. Patrons will now be able to select their seats at the Point of Sale and Online.
As well as using the base Vista Cinema system, Kerasotes has elected to install HeadOffice and Kiosk modules and is also looking to install Vista Plasma. Vista Plasma is fully integrated with the Vista Cinema system, which enables all signs to be automatically updated in real-time. Plasma screens are located throughout the cinema and are used to show session information, concession promotions and movie trailers; creating an interesting and informative ambience.
Kiosks will be stationed in the cinema’s foyers providing an alternative location for ticket and/or concession purchase or collection. Vista Kiosk software provides a clear and easy-to-use interface that makes purchasing tickets or concessions, from the kiosks a fast and convenient box office alternative. Utilizing Vista’s HeadOffice module will enable Kerasotes to automate information transfers between the cinemas and their Head Office. This provides Kerasotes with an up-to-date and accurate performance and accounting reports across their entire circuit.
The ease with which the Vista Point of Sale system was able to accurately handle allocated seating and the fast staff uptake times, made the selecting Vista very easy for Kerasotes. The cinemas are set for a November opening and Dean Kerasotes, COO, is anticipating a big turnout for the grand opening. “Guests have come to expect to receive the very best in service from our Organization and we believe this new cinema concept completely delivers on that expectation. Vista makes managing multiple concept cinemas easy and we are looking forward to introducing more cinemas like these to our guests.”
