Once the application is added, they simply select the friends they want to invite, and press send. The application will then reserve a block of seats for the number of friends who have accepted the invitation.

With adding the application normally taking only a minute or two, customers can be using the application, making invites, reservations and booking tickets in no time. The application has an intuitive interface and purchasing a ticket takes only a few seconds.
A unique feature of the application is the ‘Wish List’. Facebook users create movie “wish lists” of all the movies they want to see and they are then able to create events based on friends who also have that movie on their wish list.
Block booking and ticketing
Once an event is created, the Facebook user simply selects the friends they want to invite, and press send.
When they have received accepted invites from friends, they are able to continue with the booking. The application will then reserve a block of seats for the number of friends who have accepted the invitation.
Payment is completed online, with each person paying for their own tickets. If the user doesn’t have the Vista Facebook application, an invitation to add the application is also sent out. Once it is added to their Facebook profile, the friends can pay for their tickets and complete the booking. A timeout period ensures that the reserved seats are released if they are not purchased so they can be sold via normal cinema sales channels.
Vista’s Facebook application is fully integrated with Vista’s Loyalty module, providing cinema marketing teams the ability to create user profiles and campaigns based on users ‘Wish Lists’. Targeted promotional campaigns can also be created, such as – reserve and purchase 10 tickets through the application and receive a free movie ticket.
